Here are a few facts about SAAT / ALPHA GAL that should help you know what to expect.
What is Alpha Gal?
Alpha Gal is a sugar molecule that is transmitted mainly by the Lone Star tick. When the sugar molecule enters the human host, it can trigger an allergic reaction to red meat, dairy, gelatin and some medications. The symptoms can range from hives, itching, intestinal distress, to life threatening anaphylaxis. How does SAAT work?
SAAT uses bioenergetic testing to find the location of the exact acupuncture point to treat an allergen. Over the course of 3-4 weeks, the needle reprograms your immune system to reduce or even eliminate reactivity to specific allergens.
Do I need to know exactly what I am allergic to?
We can utilize the results of your blood tests, skin tests, or we can test what you have experienced a reaction to. Part of the SAAT process is to energetically verify and treat each allergy individually.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments is determined by how many items your body is reacting to. Each needle is one allergen. Up to 6 allergens can be treated in one appointment.
How do the needles stay in?
The needles are glued in with a medical glue, covered with a small band aid and additional medical glue is placed on top of the band aid.
Can anyone be treated with SAAT?
In most cases yes. There are a few situations that involve additional steps.
- If you are allergic to the needle, adhesive or the band aid used in the treatment. We offer homeopathic sprays to treat those allergies before performing SAAT.
- If you have an overactive immune system known as Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. We offer homeopathic sprays to treat this condition. This can be done along with the SAAT treatment.
- If you have had any surgery involving scaring near the ears, additional steps are involved.
